Privacy Policy

Orkely is a desktop application that runs entirely on your own computer. Your business data — clients, projects, tasks, invoices, proposals, and files — is stored in a local database on your machine. We do not host it, back it up, or have access to it.

This Privacy Policy covers two separate things: the small amount of data this website collects (if you fill out a form), and how the Orkely application handles data once it's installed on your computer.

Via this website

• Contact form submissions: if you reach out via our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message.

Downloads of Orkely Free and Orkely Pro happen directly through the Microsoft Store — this website does not collect any information as part of downloading or purchasing the application.

Via the Orkely application

Orkely does not create an account for you, does not require sign-up, and does not transmit your business data anywhere. Everything you enter — clients, projects, tasks, invoices, proposals, finances, files — is stored in a local database file on your own computer. We have no access to it, no copy of it, and no way to see it.

If you choose to email a proposal or invoice to a client from within the app, that email is sent directly from your computer through your own configured email settings — it does not pass through or get stored on any Orkely server.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party.

Data you enter into the Orkely application — clients, projects, tasks, invoices, proposals, finances, files — stays on your computer. We do not access it, store a copy of it, or transmit it anywhere. You are fully responsible for backing up your own local data; we recommend keeping regular backups of your computer as you would for any important local files.

This website uses only what's necessary for the site to function (e.g. a CSRF security token) and standard website analytics to understand traffic. We do not use tracking cookies tied to your personal identity, and the Orkely desktop application does not use cookies at all — it isn't a website.

This website's analytics provider may collect anonymous, aggregate visit data (pages viewed, general location, browser type) to help us understand site traffic. This is separate from, and does not touch, any data inside the Orkely application itself.

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you (your name/email from a form submission) at any time by contacting us at hello@orkely.com. Since we don't store any of your business data from inside the app, there's nothing on our end to request regarding that data — it never leaves your computer in the first place.

We keep contact form submissions only as long as needed to respond to you. You can request deletion at any time.

We may update this policy as Orkely evolves — for example, if we introduce optional cloud features in the future, this page will be updated to reflect exactly what that means before any such feature exists. Material changes will be noted here with a new effective date.
