Everything you need to know about Orkely.

FAQ list

What is Orkely?
Orkely is a local-first business management application for Windows. It provides solo freelancers, operators, and small businesses with a single offline tool to manage clients, projects, tasks, finances, proposals, and invoices in one place.
Is Orkely really free?
Orkely Free is completely free to download and use, with no account signups and no credit card required, for as long as you like. Orkely Pro unlocks proposals and reports for a single one-time payment of $24.99 — never a subscription.
What's the difference between Orkely Free and Orkely Pro?
Both editions include client management, projects, task boards, invoicing, finance tracking, file management, and local backup & restore. Orkely Pro additionally includes a rich-text proposal builder and reports. See the pricing page for the full comparison.
Are there any client, project, or invoice limits?
No. Because Orkely runs locally on your computer and stores all records in a local database, there are absolutely no restrictions on the number of clients, projects, tasks, proposals, or invoices you can create in either edition.
How many users can use it?
Orkely is designed as a single-user desktop application. It runs locally on your PC and is built to optimize individual workflows. It does not support multiple user logins or team seats.
Do I need an internet connection to use Orkely?
No. Orkely runs entirely on your computer. Sending documents (proposals, invoices) via email requires a connection, but all project, CRM, and invoicing core operations work fully offline.
Is my data stored in the cloud?
No. All your data lives locally on your machine in a local database. Nothing is uploaded anywhere unless you explicitly email a document to a client.
What platforms does Orkely support?
Orkely currently supports Windows, distributed through the Microsoft Store. macOS and Linux builds are planned for future updates.
How do I download Orkely?
Orkely Free and Orkely Pro are both distributed directly through the Microsoft Store — no email, account, or download form required. See the pricing page for links to each edition.
